I didn't see a lot of people moving around, but everything was nice, and they had activities throughout the course of the day. We're looking for a one-person studio, so the room size was fine and sufficient. I just don't think my mother-in-law would like it there. I am a resident that currently lives here and I am very comfortable. The staff here are all very helpful and there is always something to do. The food here is great, even though I'm not much of an eater!
They have had bed bugs that they left unaddressed. I wouldn't send a colony of roaches to live at this facility. I noticed when I visited that the residents are very active. It’s a nice facility, but it's out of our price range. Quality Home Care
I thought they were high priced compared to the others. I couldn't find any fault with it except that the parking was not good. The staff was wonderful, they were very informative, and pleasant. The rooms were really nice, and the food looked like it was good.
At this time, Hancock Hall only offers senior care services in our physical location. However, we do offer respite care for family caregivers that need extra support. Our staff is comprised of highly trained and experienced skilled nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, social workers and administrative personnel. I spoke to a very knowledgeable and courteous individual over at Maplewood who knew a lot about assisted living.

The staff was great, and they took a lot of time and explained everything to us during the tour.
But it was in a very congested area and was right near the hospital. Maplewood at Danbury was clean, and everybody was lovely, but it was more expensive than where we are at right now. The residents seemed to be happy, and everything else was beautiful. They were all very nice, very accommodating, and willing to help you with whatever you needed. They gave us lunch, which was delicious because they have their own chefs. We saw the facilities and the dining room, and it was very nice.
